Jogging, Madonna, The Hills...

So I was supposed to start jogging and that hasn't happened. I just seem to have way too many things going on right now and jogging is the last thing on my mind but I can't put it off any longer.

Totally changing the subject...the new MADONNA CD comes out this Tuesday the 29th. It has had some good reviews so I hope it is as good as they say it is. A new CD means that she'll be touring pretty soon so hopefully I'll able to see her this year.

New subject again...I'm a fan of the MTV show The Hills and Lauren and Audrina's new pad in Hollywood is pretty sweet. Of course they had to have a house warming party and all the drama is starting because Audrina's ex is back, Stephanie ended up not going to the party so that Heidi wouldn't get mad. Steve was on 102.7 this morning and was asked what he thought of Spencer and he pretty much said that he didn't like him. Spencer called in to the show and the drama began in the AM. The show and it's drama is pretty addictive. Like Ryan Seacrest said this morning...he doesn't know what it is but this show is fun and you get easily involved in the drama. 

It's been a while...

It's been a while since I write...my excuse is that I went back to school. Like my school BFF Kara, I'm trying to get into shape. I no longer eat the wonderful Jumbo Jacks or whopping Whoppers, instead I order chicken wraps and salads. As I bite into a chicken wrap, I pretend that it's a hamburger or french fries. I have also started drinking more water and less soda. Starbuck's will no longer be a place I visit as often as I used to...good-bye double chocolate-chip Frappaccinos, you will be missed dearly. 

There are a few healthy foods that I enjoy eating, but only a few. Unfortunately for me, there is more junk food I like than healthy food. I'm going to start jogging more because I have recently found out that I'm going to jog in San Fransisco at the Nike Marathon...13 miles here I come :)

Tiempo

Acabo de regresar a trabajar despues de dos semanas de vacaciones y se me hizo dificil. Cuando estaba de vacaciones me dormia temprano y me iba al shopping temprano y ahora que regrese a trabajar no puedo dormirme temprano. Van dos dias y me estoy durmiendo casi a la una de la madrugada y me siento cansada todo el dia. Siempre digo que voy a llegar a casa a tomar una siesta pero nunca lo hago. 

New Colors

It's Spring!!! With the arrival of Spring 2008 there is a bug that makes us want to clean our houses, re-arrange, or completely remodel rooms. My friend Lisa and her husband totally did everything that has to do with Spring cleaning this break. They did a "While You Were Out" for their younger daughter and re-did her room. The room looks amazing...it looks like a dorm room with all the essentials,  very modern and sophisticated. The colors of my new blog layout remind me of the colors they painted the room.

Break is over!!!

After two weeks off from work I have to return on Monday. It's been really nice not having to wake up to go to work. I think I can really get used to waking up and doing whatever I want. Now that I have to go back to work I get a week off from school. I've survived the first term at APU for my teaching credential :) So...that's two weeks off of work and one week off from school, not bad but it's too easy to get used. I now have to snap into reality and get ready for work.

The Getty

Today I went to the Getty with my friend Lisa. It had been a while since I've been there so it was nice to go check out the exhibits. My favorite things to see there are the Van Gogh they have and the Monet's. I also saw some manuscripts that dated from the 400's to the 1400's and they were beautiful. After the Getty we went to Rodeo Dr. and just walked around. It was nice to go see everything but the traffic in LA is horrible. I hate switching freeways often and I felt like that's all I did. It was nice coming home to a place where that type of traffic is almost non-existent (at least LA traffic is non-existent). I think Lisa liked the museum, she fell in love with a painting by Monet :)

Test Results....

I PASSED!!!! Today we received our official results from the state on our TPA's. A TPA assess if a person is ready to become a teacher. Everyone in class was nervous because a TPA is quiet time consuming. My friend Beck mentioned that her TPA was 25 pages and I was a bit nervous because mine was only 18 pages long. Beck received a four on her TPA which is the highest you can get and I received a three. I'm happy because to pass I needed a three or four, anything less and we fail. I'm really excited right now :)

Class on a Wednesday Night

So I'm sitting in class on my Spring Break from work. I'm kinda bored and since I saw Kara writing a blog, well I had to do the same. One more week and I finish my first term at APU in the Credential program. I can't believe I'm going to school to become a teacher in a time when education is not being funded. Well I guess there is hope and things will get better for educators.
